- Shan Plateau
- A large elevated region, with an average altitude of 900 meters (3,000 feet), located in Shan State between the valley of the Irrawaddy (Ayeyarwady) River to the west and the Salween (Thanlwin) River to the east. It is criss-crossed by several mountain ranges, running generally in a north-south direction.
